Steve Trovato ! he was my instructor at GIT in 1990s what a great teacher, he e'er played an all black (real) Dumble Overdrive Special combo:
homo that amp sounded sooooo harsh :(

Peradventure I am deaf, but I don't think I could stand a D amp 24/seven.
That is why many artist that play them also have a Fender, which they employ together on stage.

I think the myth is what got the prices and so upwardly when in reality, it is but another voice for an instrument.
It works good for some kinds music, it doesn't work improve for other kinds of music.

The problem is that nosotros tend to recall with our wallets.
If some of the stars go out and outset buying pig nose amps and they say that that is the sound and they go up in toll and command a 250K pecker for the worst 8" speaker sounding pig nose of them all, in ii years the TGP members will be maxim that that is the greatest amp ever fabricated.

I even so call up all of these,,, authorities..... saying that the Joyo Modified freakish blues pedal was the only thing that sounded like a Dumble amp.

I call back me saying it sounded similar a cheap 30 dollars Joyo, it should be there somewhere.

m guessing you don't really empathise circuits and tube amp design, which nigh guitarists don't.

Kickoff, the size of the company does not affair. Either you lot are stealing, or you are using public domain designs. This thought that it is OK to steal from a big company or a rich guy is pure political bull $striking and speaks more to your character than anyone else's.

Just fifty-fifty that doesn't affair here. In this case, there was nothing original in whatever HAD design. It was all public domain.

HAD didn't invent annihilation circuit wise. He was far from the offset tech to change an amp. All that is purely myth. What he did was change and build amps with more than care and more skill than others. That'due south not something you can steal.

I see you detect the need to throw personal insults at anyone you disagree with. That tells ME a lot.
So I see no reason to tell you about my electronics groundwork nor near ethics and morals, since you think differently about what is correct or wrong, compared to my beliefs.
Goodbye.

Not an attorney, but I've been around the legal block. Merely given that the Dumble competitors were around for thirty+ years earlier A. Dumble'southward passing, suggests that Dumble's manor would have a massive uphill battle to start a new case at present. If there is any awaiting litigation that'southward been ongoing prior to his passing, that we know nothing about, they may have a stronger position. My bet is that if they took upward anything at present though, they'd probable be throwing their money away.

If the podcast is to be believed, there won't be an manor. The Dumble make (or lack thereof depending on how you look at it) died with him. He didn't desire it to carry on.

Some guys are helping get amps dorsum to owners and I assume everything else volition be sold off but no idea who'due south gonna get the money from that.

If there are any family members who make up one's mind to brand the proper name, I agree it'due south gonna be an uphill battle. They'll be starting at ground zero with a decades-long history of zero effort to protect annihilation further than the utilise of epoxy and notes threatening pirates.

Question:
If I committee an artist to paint me a copy of the Mona Lisa, am I a jack wagon? Is the artist I rent a jack wagon?

Only if he signs it every bit DaVinci, and you tell people it's real.

EDIT: to analyze, there is a distinction between a individual commission, and commercial auction. Many guitar and amp builders are commissioned privately for things that would NEVER fly commercially… merely I would still draw the line at using a different proper noun, which is apartment-out forgery however you piece it.

If the podcast is to be believed, there won't be an estate. The Dumble brand (or lack thereof depending on how you look at it) died with him. He didn't want information technology to comport on.

Some guys are helping become amps back to owners and I presume everything else will exist sold off but no idea who'south gonna go the money from that.

If there are any family members who decide to brand the name, I agree it'due south gonna exist an uphill boxing. They'll be starting at ground zero with a decades-long history of goose egg effort to protect annihilation further than the use of epoxy and notes threatening pirates.

I don't think a lawsuit volition ever happen.
Not to speak ill of the dead, but I would recollect a lawsuit could peradventure bring up tax evasion concerns. Can y'all imagine what the "estate" would owe in back taxes?
If you live off the grid, yous best stay off the grid.

I still call back all of these,,, authorities..... proverb that the Joyo Modified freakish blues pedal was the only thing that sounded similar a Dumble amp.

I remember me saying it sounded like a cheap 30 dollars Joyo, it should be there somewhere.

Many players have too moved on from their Dumble phase a while back. Merely a few accept consistently stuck to playing it most of the time.

Question:
If I commission an artist to paint me a copy of the Mona Lisa, am I a jack wagon? Is the artist I rent a jack carriage?

My sis is an artist. She gave me an oil-re-create, which she painted as a practice do. She said that she would never try to sell information technology, equally it's not of her creation and inconsistent with her style.

It'southward nice ... and just happens to cover a hole in my wall. :idea

I think I paid less than $200. It'southward a dandy pedal, merely information technology'due south not a $1k pedal.

I don't know if thats truthful or not only Ive also hear rumours that he had uncashed checks sitting effectually the business firm.
All the same some other rumour that some of those checks would never get chased and he just decided not to build the amps....lol
I remember he's 1 of those guys who could just follow his muse.......That's a proficient life if you can get it.
